Canadian Adventure         for Health - July 1, 2021

Safe and Fun + prizes!

How it works:

  1. Register by completing the registration form and making a donation (as this is a fundraiser a donation is required to complete your registration).
  2. On Canada Day, open your email containing the directions for your adventure.
  3. Gather your family or COVID-19 bubble and follow the directions that will lead you on an educational and entertaining adventure in your community.
  4. Take photos of your adventure.
  5. Share photos with participants from across the country  between 6am PT and 9pm PT on Facebook at facebook.com/canadianadventureforhealth.
The adventure can be done by car, bike, wheelchair, or on foot in any community and it can be modified by you to fit the needs of your adventure group.

Plus you could win a terrific prize like a "summer activities" valued at over $170, a years supply of soup from Mitchell's Soup or a prize pack from Old Dutch Chips.

  • Registration is by donation

    Click on the Register button below and complete the form. Must be 18 + years old. To complete your registration you must make a donation for any amount, by e-transfer to the John Rudy Health Resource Centre at info@johnrudyhealth.ca. We are only accepting donations by e-transfer to reduce costs and so more of your money will go directly to client services.

    For every $10 you donate, you will receive one entry for the prize draws. Better your chances of winning by donating more! 

  • Adventure

    This adventure is similar to a scavenger hunt, but you do not need to gather items or interact with other people or go into buildings which means this is a COVID-19 safe event!

    On July 1, 2021 you will receive an email at 6am PT that has a list of 20 fun directions for you to follow, such as "travel for 5 minutes in the same direction as the wind is blowing" or "find a Canada Post mailbox." 

    This adventure can be completed in an hour or you can make a day of it. The choice is yours! Explore new areas of your community or see things you never noticed before. Canada is an amazing country - go on an adventure!

  • Snap, share & see photos

    While out on your adventure, snap photos of the places and things you see. Then post them on our Facebook page at facebook.com/canadianadventureforhealth where you will also be able to see the photos taken by other adventurers.

    You can post photos between 6am PT and 9pm PT. 

    You will be on an adventure together with other Canadians while staying apart.

  • Watch a video

    Join our adventure in Vernon, BC on Canada Day. On July 1st you will find a video on our Facebook page. Go to facebook.com/canadianadventureforhealth and click on the video link to enjoy. Or click on the video icon at the top of this page.

    This is a great way to join the event even if you cannot leave your home.

  • Win a prize

    Receive one entry for every $10 you donate. The more you donate the better your chances and the more people we will be able to help.

    Prizes include a "summer activities" prize box worth over $170, a years supply of soup from Mitchell's Soup and a prize pack from Old Dutch Chips. Check back on July 1st for a complete list of prizes.

    Prizes will be drawn July 1, 2021 at 8pm PT and posted on this website and on Facebook at facebook.com/canadianadventureforhealth. Winners will be notified by email.

BEFORE USING OUR SITES AND SUBMITTING AN EVENT REGISTRATION, PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY.

These Terms and Conditions are applicable to [John Rudy Health Resource Centre Association and Canadian Adventure for Health] (the "Association") and sets out our terms and conditions for participating in any of the Association’s events including Canadian Adventure for Health. By checking the “agree” box on the registration form, you are agreeing that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions.

REGISTRATION FORM

By completing and submitting the online registration form you are agreeing to share your personal information, name, address, and email address with the Association. This information will be kept following the Personal Information and Privacy Act for the purpose of future communications regarding the registered event, future events, as well as distribution of prizes.


SHARING OF PHOTOS

By uploading or emailing photos to the Association website, email, Facebook page, or other social media platform, you give consent to the Association to post those photos for use during and after the event and for event marketing purposes.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

By submitting the online registration form, you are agreeing to follow and take full responsibility for following all health and safety protocols related to COVID-19 that are applicable in your geographical location from all health services and governmental bodies. Be sure to check with your local health service association and government before commencing event activities.

 

PARTICIPANT WAIVER

In consideration of your accepting the entry, you hereby, for yourself, your heirs, executors and administrator, waive and release any and all right or claim to damages you may have against John Rudy Health Resource Centre Association holding this event, their agents, representatives, successors, and the sponsors, for any kind and all injuries you may sustain during the course of the event. You agree that you will abide by all driving laws and safety rules, or if applicable, bicycle safety rules and agree to wear a helmet at all times.

If we alter our TERMS AND CONDITIONS, any changes will be posted on this page of our site so that you are always informed of the TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
